Monday: Season Premiere Reminders for Tonight
Last Monday, Ashley told us what was happening during SPS and what she would be watching. I’m pretty clueless about when shows happen (trust me, I don’t know how to find channels on my TV because I just leave it all up to the DVR) so I thought I’d copy/paste the Ausiello Cheat Sheet for tonight’s premieres. In alphabetical order except for the first and best one.
How I Met Your Mother, 8 p.m. (CBS)
This is definitely the number one premiere I’m looking forward to this year. Because I’m an idiot I ignored this show up through last February when I discovered it and then managed to catch up on all four seasons in just a few weeks. This is hands down my favorite comedy right now because of the group chemistry. I love these people in a way I haven’t loved an ensemble cast since <i>Friends</i>. If you’re not watching yet, just start tonight. Catch up not necessary. (But you’ll have lots of fun to watch later.)
Ashley says: “This is quite simply one of the most enjoyable shows on television right now. Five seasons of a show called How I Met Your Mother and no Mother to be found? Get on it, Mosby!”
Accidentally on Purpose, 8:30 p.m. (CBS)
Ashley says: “All of the critics say that this show is dumb and that it is going to fail, which of course makes me want to watch it.”
The Big Bang Theory, 9:30 p.m. (CBS)
Lots of people I love watch this show. Also, the theme music is fun.
Ashley says: “This show is the epitome of Geekdom. It is the Holy Grail of Geektopia. This show is worth your time.”
Castle, 10 p.m. (ABC)
Ashley says: “It’s a good fun hour of television that doesn’t take itself too seriously, and at it’s best, has the potential to bring you nothing but joy.”
CSI: Miami, 10 p.m. (CBS)
We don’t watch it, but you might.
Dancing with the Stars, 8 p.m. (ABC)
I feel like I get all the info I need about this show from the periphery of life, but would probably still enjoy if I felt like I could find the time to watch it. It is on three nights a week right now. THREE NIGHTS.
Heroes, 8 p.m. (NBC)
We don’t watch it, but you might.
House, 8 p.m. (Fox)
Ashley says: “Something’s gotta give, and the opening arc with House in a mental hospital is the perfect time for it. So: House writers, I’m looking at you. Don’t eff it up.”
Two and a Half Men, 9 p.m. (CBS)
DONT EVEN THINK ABOUT IT. WE HAVE RAGE ABOUT LAST NIGHT.
Big Damn Heroes 
LIterally anyone else ANYONE ELSE in that category would have been awesome, so why is that THE ONE PERSON WHO DOESN’T DESERVE IT is the one who freaking WINS.
Maybe everyone else was just so awesome that the votes were split evenly. If that is the case then there should have been a run-off. Like you should have to win by a certain percentage. RIDIC.
I wrote an angry Emmys commentary whilst watching. Should I post it?

Also, jackhole fuckwit Tom DeLay is on DWTS this season, so, you know, there’s that. I might tune in to punch the TV.
It’s THREE NIGHTS A WEEK.
I mean just tonight. I might turn it on just one night to punch the TV. There’s no way in hell I can commit to a three-night’s-a-week show.
